November 12, 2020 – I attended the Zone 26/27 Rotary Institute virtually. The morning opening session began with 343 members on line. The session started with a great skit with the meeting organizers presenting they could not get the technology to work and had to call tech support. Of course they had to “reboot” which is what Rotary has been doing all year. The Rotary Institute was supposed to be in San Diego this month at the Omni Hotel. It is too bad we could not meet in person this year.
Our very own PDG Scott Carr was one of the voice overs talents talking about membership.
Rick Steves talked about the challenges facing the travel business. Theme was “life is good.”
Rick Steves returned to the Institute to discuss travel in this current environment. His company is laser focused only on Europe.
I then attended a presentation on Servant Leadership. I learned more about hwat it mean fo be a servant leader in a volunteer non profit organization. I then attended Top Gov social session discussing the top adult beverages on the states of Zone 26/27. It was all a lot of fun.
