September 2, 2021 – The club met again at Jimmy O’s. We used the the inhouse speaker system eliminating the need to move Philipp’s speaker. The sound system work pretty well. We also learned that Jimmy O’s has a storage room where we stored the microphones, sound board, name badge case, flags and pop-up. As Co-president Karl noted, this just keeps on getting better.
We collected monies for End Polio Now. Here is what I sent District leadership.
“I had a great experience this afternoon at our Del Mar club meeting. The Club decided to match member donations up to $1,000 to the club for EPN so it could be matched by John Matthews and then the B&M Gates Foundation.
We did a spontaneous raise your hand collection today during our meeting. We raised $1,760 in cash. That will be matched by the club at $1,000 for $2,760. If there is money left in John Matthews matching fund, $5,520 then after the B&M Gates Foundation, $16,560 to the End Polio Fund”.
For lunch, I had a cheese burger with cheddar cheese and avocado and of course Jenna kept me going with Sculpin beer.
