September 17, 2021 – I joined the club for lunch at Mike’s BBQ in Escondido for the official visit of District Governor Dan Gensler. The club normally uses a private room to conduct their meeting. On this occasion, the room was given to another group leaving the Rotary club to meet in an open area in the restaurant with overhead music and no AV support. The meeting space took rearranging of some furniture, it worked!
District Governor Dan Gensler presented his club talk “in the round” without benefit of his laptop and a podium. The presentation went exceptionally well.
I had Mike’s BBQ brisket sandwich with backed bean. The meal was very good.
