September 20, 2021 – The Rotary Club of Del Mar had a club social organized by Donna Fipps which included blind beer tasting and judging. We had about 20 club members attending. We covered the beer bottles in cloth bags and placed in ice buckets. We did this so the tasting was blinded. Attendees were given score cards to evaluate the different beers.
There was food and snacks for everyone to nosh on. The event was mostly in our back yard.
The big winner was Karl Strauss Octoberfest brought by the Davies. The beer was in a Guinness Stout box, thus the confusion on the master score board.
