September 30, 2021 – The Rotary Club met at the Hilton Garden Inn in Carlsbad for the official visit of District Governor Dan Gensler. Also in attendance were PDG Steve Weitzen, DGE Chuck Pretto, AG Dawn Van Siclen, AG Luis Carranza. PDG Steve Weitzen was wearing his foil cap given to him by the club during the demotion party under high tension power lines. Steve wanted to make sure he remained safe in Carlsbad.
This was DG Official visit number 26 or 61. Dinner consisted of pork tenderloin and spätzle. No rubber chicken.
Many members were dressed in German attire in preparation for their October 2, 2021 Octoberfest in the Carlsbad Strawberry Field.
