October 15, 2021 – I skipped swimming at UCSD so I could have breakfast with District Governor Dan Gensler and the La Mesa Sunrise Rotary Club at Hooleys Public House in La Mesa. They have a very nice room set-up. Breakfast was a buffet with eggs, waffles, hash browns and sausage, plus lots of coffee.
The club was visited by some visiting Rotarians from Costa Rica.
The club uses past presidents as a committee to run the club, very innovative. They also use Factbook Live to live stream their meetings. They have been doing this for over 5 years. They meet in person twice a month, have a service project once a month and have a club social for the other week.
