March 19, 2022 – District 5340 conducted is annual District Training Assembly (DTA) at the Liberty Station Conference Center. The venue was perfect for this event. It is also home to the Rotary Club of San Diego. There were 4 sessions, with a number of concurrent breakout rooms with different topics.
During DG Dan’s opening remarks, he said that D5340 has wired over $45,000 to the District in Romina supporting Ukrainian Refugees.
After remarks from DG Dan Gensler and DGE Chuck Pretto, we went into our first breakout rooms. 217 people registered for DTA. Many thanks to Bonnie Welch and Bobbi Spinner- Flack for organizing the event.
Chief Aide Kay Barron and I conducted a session for President Elect Nominees or Presidents Elect-Elect for 2023-24. We reviewed some early budgetary items they should be aware of and the calendar of events over the next 2 years. We asked each present to introduce themselves and talk briefly about their club’s signature event.
