August 4, 2022 – The Rotary Club of Del Mar met at Jimmy O’s for lunch. The meeting was hosted by Toni Mecaro, President Elect Nominee. The speaker was author Molly McClain of the book Ellen Browning Scripps – New Money and American Philanthropy. Donna ended up buying a copy of her book.
The menu for lunch now included fish and chips which is what I ordered. I failed to take any photos as I was helping Toni run the in person only meeting.
The meeting ran pretty well except my lap top decided, if it could, to stop playing sounds or music. Of course, when I got the lap top home, it worked perfectly. The only issue; no one was able to hear the music during the spinning of the Wheel of Names for the raffle of a gift card.
