April 2, 2022 – Del Mar City Hall
District 5340 conducted it’s 18th annual Model United Nations April 2, 2022, at Del Mar City Hall.
Countries were represented by 2 high school students. There were two resolutions to be addressed by the delegates: Climate Change: Addressing the Climate Refugee Crisis and Specific Actions to Address the Global Climate Crisis post COP 26.
The sessions were run like the United Nations with delegates presenting their countries position in either a 2 min or 1.5 minute speech. The delegates then went into negotiations over voting for or against the resolutions with our with out amendments.
It was a two day event. I could only stay for the morning of the first day.
